is an associate professor in the Department of Manufacturing Engineering and Management, De La Salle University. He is the current program manager of the USAID Energy Secure Philippines funded project titled “CALABARZON Regional Energy Advancement Think-Tank Ecosystem (CREATE)”. He is also an associate researcher of the Algae Bio-Innovation Global hub at the Center for Engineering and Sustainable Development Research (CESDR), De La Salle University. His work on energy systems modeling, process optimization using computational intelligence techniques, and algal technology has produced him 38 publications in Scopus with 263 citations and an h-index of 9. He was a recipient of the Graduate Scholarship in Science and Technology (GraSST) of USAID-STRIDE at the Agricultural and Biosystems Engineering Department of the University of Arizona, Tucson, USA. A DOST- Engineering Research and Development for Technology (ERDT) scholar, he was awarded the Magsaysay Young Engineer and Technologist Award by the National Academy of Science and Technology (NAST) in 2014. He holds a Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering and is a Research Fellow at the DLSU Center of Engineering and Sustainable Development Research.
